SonoClear AS Completes Clinical Enrollment
SonoClear AS recently announced the completion of the final patient procedure in its study of the SonoClear System for use in intracranial ultrasound imaging in patients with neurological tumors.
The SonoClear System includes an acoustic coupling fluid designed to enhance intraoperative imaging during neurosurgical interventions. Its tissue-mimicking properties eliminate the acoustic artifacts commonly produced by sterile irrigation fluids, which obscure critical tumor remnants at the resection cavity base and complicate maximum tumor resection. Completion of the clinical study will enable the company to pursue regulatory clearance in the United States.
